COALITION POUR LA DÉFENSE DES DROITS HUMAINS VIVANT DANS LES CAMPS DE RÉFUGIÉS (CDH/VICAR)

We are operating since 2015

Since our inception in 2015, CDH - VICAR has been dedicated to advocating for the rights of refugees, particularly those displaced by political unrest in the Great Lakes region. With over a decade of experience, we have gained a deep understanding of the challenges refugees face, including limited access to education, healthcare, and legal protection. Through advocacy, education, and community initiatives, we promote refugee integration, raise awareness about human rights violations, and empower refugees. Our extensive network of human rights defenders ensures that refugees' voices are amplified on both local and international platforms.

Advocacy for Refugee Rights

Our Mission

The mission of CDH - VICAR is to defend the rights of refugees, ensuring their dignity, access to essential services, and integration into society. Through advocacy and partnerships, the organization works to raise awareness of refugee challenges and create a supportive environment for their development and contribution.

Our Vision

The vision of CDH - VICAR is to create a just and equitable world where refugees' rights are fully recognized, ensuring their dignity and access to essential services. Through advocacy for freedom, justice, and mutual respect, the organization aims to promote inclusion and equality in policies and practices concerning refugees.

Defending the rights and dignity of refugees

At CDH - VICAR, we are deeply moved by the injustices faced by refugees when their basic human rights are neglected, especially when they are denied the fundamental necessities to rebuild their lives. Too often, refugees are left without access to the critical support systems they need, such as healthcare, legal aid, and economic opportunities, making their struggle even more challenging. This lack of access to essential services deprives them not only of their human dignity but also of the chance to contribute meaningfully to society. We are committed to advocating for the recognition and protection of these rights, working tirelessly to ensure that refugees are treated with respect and given the resources they need to thrive. The violation of refugees' human rights goes beyond just their immediate needs; it also affects their long-term potential and the stability of their communities. When refugees are denied proper training, healthcare, or legal protection, it undermines their ability to live fulfilling lives and create a sense of belonging in their new environments. At CDH - VICAR, we are driven by the belief that every refugee deserves the opportunity to live in peace, with dignity and respect for their human rights. Our work focuses on changing policies, creating awareness, and advocating for the rights of refugees, ensuring they are not left behind in their journey to self-sufficiency and integration.
