On Sunday, March 19, 2026, several refugees were reportedly injured by a camp management official while attempting to access water outside the restricted area known as the “Departure” zone. This area has increasingly been described by refugees as functioning under conditions of confinement.
Access to basic necessities such as water has become a critical issue within the camp, particularly for those confined to controlled zones. The reported use of force against individuals seeking essential resources highlights the severity of the humanitarian situation.
